Mango Pineapple Smoothie

Nothing to beat a mango pineapple smoothie on a warm day.


Ingredients:

  • 1 ripe mango

  • 1 can pineapple pieces

  • 2 cups yogurt

  • 1/2 cup sugar

  • 1 tsp lemon juice

  • Whipped cream for topping

Steps:

  • Peel mango and cut into pieces

  • Open can of pineapples add with mango, sugar and lemon juice in a blender

  • Save some of the puree into a bottle which can be used to drizzle

  • Add yogurt and lend on high till fully mixed (I use a vitamix)

  • Keep in refrigerator to cool

  • Serve chilled with some whipped cream and drizzle with the puree to saved earlier


Strawberry Smoothie

I love the strawberry smoothie at Starbucks. Its pricey plus they mostly add water, syrup and lots of ice. Here is a healthier version and much easier on your wallet !


Ingredients:

  • 1lb organic ripe strawberries

  • 2 scoops vanilla ice cream

  • 2 cups milk

  • 1/2 cup sugar

  • 1 tsp lemon juice

  • Whipped cream for topping

Steps:

  • Hull strawberries and wash them well

  • Add sugar and make a strawberry puree

  • Add half the puree in a bottle to drizzle on top

  • Now add milk and ice cream to the other half of puree , add lemon juice to a blender

  • Blend on high till fully mixed (I use a vitamix)

  • Keep in refrigerator to cool

  • Before serving drizzle some of the puree at the bottom and around the glass

  • Now add the chilled smoothie, add whipped cream and drizzle some more puree on top of the whipped cream
